As rapid growth in North American production has allowed refiners to replace much of crude imports with domestic crude, imports to mid-continent refiners through St. James have decreased dramatically. St. James remains the center of crude distribution and storage for the Louisiana region, which constitutes about 13% of the U.S. refining complex and export demand is expected to grow as North American supply overflows U.S. refiner demand.",
