He established the Metabolic Program at the Boston Children’s Hospital in 1978 and it has become one of the world’s premier such programs. The program was recently named in his honor and the Director of the program is given the title of the Harvey L. Levy Chair in Metabolic Disorders. Dr. Levy has published almost 500 articles on metabolic disease and numerous chapters in classical metabolic texts as well as two books. He has received numerous awards and citations.",
