So, at about 70% GC content, they will say we're not even going to try making this sequence. There are also other complexities involved in the way that sequences interact with each other. One of the fundamental properties of DNA is this thing called base pairing, where A's pair with T's and G's pair with C's, and so if you have stretches of sequences that are inverses of each other, they will base-pair with each other. I would just call that sequence complexity. So, they screen for high GC or low GC content sequences and high complexity sequences, and then they tell a customer we're not even going to try these.
