      "text": "Our interviews indicate that OPO's and transplant centers large and small have now begin aggressively rolling out NRP. An Oct 24, 2024 paper just published in JAMA surveyed 55 of the 57 OPO's in the US to gauge their rate of adoption – 49 indicated they already have experience with the technique, indicating it is on the cusp of becoming the standard of care as it is in Europe. Transplant surgeons pointed to enthusiasm and buzz around other recent conference presentations and published papers, showing extraordinary cost savings versus TransMedics-types pumps as well as superior outcomes – such as another Oct 2024 paper in the American Journal of Transplantation showing an all-in cost labor and consumables of $9,000 per organ with NRP vs. $80,000 for machine perfusion.",
