      "text": "A former OCS Specialist indicated the importance of the role: “putting [the organ] on the machine and taking care of it – transporting and monitoring it,” including reacting to the data the machine spits out, managing fluids/solutions, and so forth – all after “they do a week-long training at the headquarters to get certified, and then you do a couple of cases, and then you’re on your own.” We asked if the minimal training caused worry: “yeah, I’m pretty stressed out with this job, that’s why I don’t work there anymore.” When we asked if technicians were engaging in the practice of medicine after one week: “yeah, it’s terrifying...because nobody ever answered that question of if something happens, then what...I definitely would have liked more training.” We then asked if issues occurred from the lack of training: “Oh yeah, I was terrified...you’re by yourself....it’s not like you can just go ask somebody to help you...then you’re on your phone calling for help.”",
