"text": "Ex-employees who traveled and worked with TransMedics NOP surgeons in the operating room during organ recoveries provided smoking gun information that leads us to conclude that TransMedics pawns rejected and damaged organs to other centers – such as those that took longer than 30-minutes for their surgeons to retrieve, past the limit for warm ischemia time after which the organ rapidly deteriorates – and then allegedly may withhold or misrepresent the info from/to receiving centers. A former OCS Specialist, who resigned due to a litany of disturbing practices - the device technicians who transfer, manage, and transport organs on pumps - stated organs would experience “a couple of hours” of warm ischemia due to the surgeons’ inability to remove them within the defined period, and replied “basically, yeah” when we asked if they would then just pawn them off to another center.",

Surgeons have so much training in residency and fellowship. Their surgeons did not get that experience. They would benefit from it, when you’re talking about ischemia time for an organ and reconstruction.”\nQ: “What would happen? They were just too slow and fumbling and not able to take it out within the proper ischemic time.?”\nA: “Yes. Some livers were refused on cases I was on because they took too long from incision to getting the liver out or they took too long between cross-clamp and reconstruction. They spent too long on the reconstruction, so they were like, this liver has been out too long, and I don’t want it now.”\nQ: “And then they would just pawn it off to another center?”\nA: “Basically, yeah.”\nQ: “How long would these ischemic times go because they were not properly experienced?”\nA: “It depends if there’s reconstruction or not.
