The ex-TransMedics procurement surgeon pointed to Attia as not only recruiting many of these unlicensed surgeons, but as an architect or a participant of an alleged scheme to improperly obtain ACIN credentials for these surgeons via their local OPO, as detailed earlier: “they hired somebody from England” who “brought quite a large number” of surgeons who “were never trained in the United States...they’re not licensed to practice medicine.” For example, the “Associate Director of Cardiothoracic Surgical Services @ TransMedics” appears to have attended medical school in Jamaica, and his LinkedIn bio states he is also presently a surgeon at a facility in Trinidad/Tobago called Premier Heart care.",
