      "text": "We interviewed eight Vykat trial investigators, plus a ninth at one of the study sites who was not the PI but played a similar, key role across the studies, who we include in a separate chapter. We did not cherry-pick investigators and spoke to all who were willing – encompassing a significant portion of the total PI’s, especially the most influential and respected leaders in the field who we sought out keenly, and who collectively enrolled a large percentage of the patients. We tried contacting each investigator multiple times to interview as many as possible, including the authors on the two published study papers and those in the acknowledgements, for the phase 3, open-label extension, and the randomized withdrawal studies – the latter is the “pivotal” as it was the basis of FDA approval after the P3 failed. Only the P3 and open-label papers are published – shockingly, the withdrawal study remains unpublished.",
