      "text": "The process that granted this science experiment an FDA seal of approval may be the subject of scrutiny, on the heels of the recent Sarepta debacle. Releasing a drug that mechanistically induces edema and hyperglycemia - in a vulnerable population with a mean age of death of 29.5 and already at risk of pulmonary hypertension, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, and OSA – defies common sense. We give the FDA some credit: they were poised to reject the drug after the phase 3 trial failed. They relented after a high-pressure petition campaign organized by the two key PWS associations. An integral part of the rare-disease playbook is throwing money at patient groups and stacking FDA hearings with desperate families. The petition lacks credibility, claiming “more than 26,000 comments from PWS families and supporters” - exceeding the number of patients in the US; we wonder how many may have been bots. A KOL indicated it was “weird” - “it was a lot of pressure...I mean, if I got one more email, I’m like dude...I’m not signing these things...”",
