"text": "Neither the Vykat label – nor Soleno’s studies or papers – demonstrate clinical superiority for its DCCR extended-release tablet vs. regular diazoxide in oral suspension or capsule form. The label merely states that the PK profiles are “different” with no elaboration. The only PK “study” for DCCR we can find is referenced in a 2018 poster by Soleno’s Neal Cowen – the entire foundation for its tablet vs. generic diazoxide. The poster compares the pharmacokinetics of a single dose of DCCR tablet vs. Proglycem oral diazoxide suspension. After much sound and fury, the poster asserts only one advantage to the tablet – that it has a lower C-max for a similar AUC and thus “DCCR may lower the frequency and severity of C-max related adverse events compared to diazoxide oral suspension.” However, no C-max related issues are mentioned in the label or studies.",
