      "text": "Even if Vykat was safe and effective, rapid off-label substitution by generic diazoxide oral suspension or an inexpensive branded version called Proglycem, would decimate any commercial opportunity before it even begins – a dynamic with plenty of recent precedent. Diazoxide is an ancient compound, used since the 1960’s primarily for infant hyperinsulinism, mostly in liquid form but also as a capsule or tablet. Our interviews indicate extensive skepticism by endocrinologists and insurers of Soleno’s formulation gimmick, who are already asking why they can’t substitute regular diazoxide. Moreover, physicians were pointed in rejecting Soleno’s explanations as lacking in credibility.
