I do know at least two families that dropped out of the Vykat study, and both of their kids got diabetes, and they were not pre-diabetic. That’s concerning to me. And both of them are still now struggling with controlling diabetes. I think that people who take this drug —you now have another problem that you have to treat, that’s a bigger problem —” Q: “These are patients who were not pre-diabetic and then got full-blown diabetes. Is that what you said?” A: “Yep.” Q: “And how old were these patients?” A: “Early 20s.” Q: “And how long were they on the drug?” A: “I think one was on it for four months, and the other was right around the same time. Both dropped out.” Q: “So, four months. And when did the diabetes develop?” A: “I think somewhere within a couple of months of starting the drug.” Q: “And how long have they been trying to get the diabetes under control? Does it sound like they’re stuck with it after being on the drug? It didn’t go away after they stopped treatment?” A: “Two or three years ago, yeah.” Q: “So, two people in their 20s got diabetes after four months on drug, and they still have it a couple of years later?” A: “Yeah.” Q: “And were they obese — I get all these kids are at risk for diabetes.” A: “Sure. Just a little something. If you look at them on the street, they would not stand out as somebody who was obese. I would say slightly overweight for both of them.” – KOL in the PWS field; closely involved with Soleno’s trial",
