      "text": "In order to understand what EUV is and what Lasertec actually sells, we first explain how semiconductors such as memory chips and microprocessors are made. The process is called photolithography, akin to traditional photography where an image is projected onto a film. A pattern is projected onto a silicon wafer coated with a light-sensitive material called photoresist, similar to how light exposes photographic film. The light causes chemical changes where it hits the photoresist, and this pattern guides where the wafer will be etched or layered to form the intricate circuits of a microchip. Light is projected onto the wafer through a photomask with the desired pattern or image of a chip layer. The photomask is typically called a “reticle” and resembles a slide in a projector.",
