      "text": "An ex-TSMC purchasing executive - still in touch with colleagues - told us that TSMC has only purchased six ACTIS EUV tools since their introduction in 2019, with no new purchases in years. At about $50MM each – the executive complained that “the pricing is so expensive” - that is a mere $300MM in cumulative EUV revenue in five years. We believe two of the six are in TSMC’s mask shop, and the rest are in its fab where it has struggled with their pitifully low reliability and throughput. The executive was clear that its only use case is as a niche R&D tool: “it’s not for production.” An ex-Lasertec field engineer at TSMC’s fab in Taiwan corroborated by stating that “I want to emphasize that the A150 are going into R&D at the site...mostly R&D.”",
