TSMC is the natural choice and TSMC shares jumped 10% on the news. The US technology industry and TSMC are significantly co-dependent with 60% of TSMC sales coming from the US. TSMC said it would spend $12B to create a chip fab in Arizona. The factory would focus on TSMC's 5-nanometer process and start production in 2024. However, TSMC's technological edge will remain in Taiwan for the forthcoming 3-nanometer process that could start production in Taiwan in 2022.",
