Social bonds have their proceeds directed to socially beneficial projects such as the provision of financing for affordable housing. Sustainable bonds can have their proceeds directed to a mix of green and social projects. Sustainability-linked bonds are general purpose instruments where the use of proceeds are not directed to specific projects, but where the issuer is required to meet predefined sustainability targets.
