      "text": "Ensuring that low-value and fraudulent education providers and intermediaries (such as recruiters) are weeded out is not only a means of managing numbers but also, crucially, of ensuring positive outcomes for students and maintaining the reputation of the destination country and its education system. This is not a new development. In 2010, the UK government withdrew sponsorship rights from nearly 500 education providers that did not sign up to a new inspection system, and it revoked licenses from 51 providers based on quality concerns. More recently, Australia and Canada have pursued policies to tackle potential fraud in the education sector. Following an investigation into fake letters of admission sent to students in 2023, the Canadian government now requires all letters of acceptance to be submitted to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. Both countries have created frameworks to prioritize the issuance of visas to students who will be attending educational institutions considered to be of lower risk.",
