      "text": "On average, participants were about as likely to overestimate the share of SDGs that are on track as to get this right; 27% say about half or more, while 26% are correct that about a fifth of the goals are on track (true proportion: 17%). Across 32 countries participants were similarly about as likely to overestimate the proportion of electronic waste that is recycled as to get this right; 26% overestimate this, and 25% get this right (true proportion: 22%). Over a quarter (29%) are correct that about half of the world's population experienced severe water scarcity for at least part of the previous year (true proportion: roughly half). However, 35% underestimate this. Conversely, on average, participants are more likely to overestimate the proportion of species that are threatened with extinction (true proportion: 28%); 41% overestimate this, whereas 26% get this right.",
