Younger Millennials and Gen Z are the first digital natives, having grown up with mobile phones, computers and social media. It's perhaps then unsurprising to see support for banning the use of smartphones in schools drawn down generational lines, with a 30-percentage point gap between Boomers and Gen Z. Just over one in three (36% on average across 30 countries) Gen Z are in support of a ban, compared to 66% of Boomers, followed by Gen X (58%) and Millennials (53%).",
