While somewhat softer than nine months ago, large majorities still agree that their country should take in Ukrainian refugees (66%) and that doing nothing in Ukraine will encourage Russia to take further military action elsewhere (63%). On average across all 28 countries surveyed, 53% agree that paying more for fuel and gas because of sanctions against Russia is worthwhile and, across the 13 countries that apply restrictions on Russian oil and gas imports, 67% agree they are important to maintain even if their citizens must reduce heating this winter. However, 71% say their country should avoid getting involved militarily and 64% say it cannot afford financial support to Ukraine",
