The Southeast Asian opportunity abounds, with strong economic and structural fundamentals incomparable to other regions. By 2030, the region’s population is expected to reach more than 700 million people, with a combined GDP of US$4.5 trillion and expanding by a compounded annual growth rate of 4.6% through 2030.36 The region is the third-most populous market after China and India, and also comes in behind the two Asia Pacific powerhouses in terms of economic growth.36 Southeast Asia ranks as the sixth largest economy after the US, China, Japan, India and Germany.36 As an indication of its potential and investor confidence, the region sees strong foreign investment—in 2021, foreign direct investment (FDI) in the market came in 4x more than India’s and 1.2x more than China’s.36",
