However, stats have dropped slightly or remained flat for management of certain risk areas. Respondents reported their biggest risk management improvements in the areas of environmental and cybersecurity risk. Meanwhile, respondents reported slight dips in the effectiveness of their responses to financial risk, operational risk, and strategic risk. The past two years also saw gains across our full sample in the use of certain approaches to risk appetite and tolerance, which supports the strategic shift of risk management towards the first line of defence.",
