The five dimensions of the Index focus on international flows of resources and activity within their respective domains. The human capital dimension became substantially more globalized this year as the international movement of people approached pre-pandemic levels. The information exchange, cultural experience, and political engagement profiles of cities also once again became more globalized within the past year, whereas the remaining dimension, business activity, became less so as cities continued to face a shaky global economic outlook.",
