Prior to joining the aerospace and defense industry, Nordlund held sales and marketing positions at IBM and was the chief information officer for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Nordlund is chairman of the Board of Directors of SparkCognition, an artificial intelligence and machine learning technology leader and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI). He serves on the Board of Trustees of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida and of Whitfield, a private independent school in St. Louis, Missouri. Nordlund has a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Florida.",
