      "text": "John is an entrepreneurial business leader who has spent over 20 years helping iconic companies lead their most strategic digital transformation initiatives. As the head of the Consumer Electronics Division for Bose Corporation, he led the Bose AR strategy to create the world's first audio-only augmented reality platform. By embedding Bose AR into Bose Frames and other Bose headphones, John helped Bose become the world's leader in consumer wearable AR devices. As the Chief Product Officer at GE Digital, John refocused the digital transformation efforts across all GE industrial business units. This aligned approach enabled GE Digital to grow by over $1B in new orders. Additionally, John led a team that launched the world's largest open, urban IoT platform by transforming GE's first business lighting. Prior to these roles, John served in a variety of executive and leadership positions at IBM including launching the first commercial solutions with IBM Watson and establishing the first digital city operations center for IBM Smarter Cities. John is currently advising a number of startup companies as an advisor and as a mentor in the MIT Venture Mentoring Service. As an entrepreneurial general manager and P&L leader, John helps with all aspects of strategy, product development, sales, marketing, and operations. John earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy and computer applications from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in the Boston area with his wife, Christine, and three children.",
