Of the 11 functional areas we assessed, executives said their organizations had already reinvented, on average, processes in six functions. The most common function for reinvention was customer service (63% of respondents) and the least common were Research & Development (R&D) and Human Resources (HR) (48% of respondents). Within two years, executives expect to have reinvented processes in nine functions within their enterprise (see Figure 5).",
